Good afternoon! So I made a major mistake and deleted a bunch of my photos from my media gallery so I’ve spent a few hours going back to each post and editing and adding the photos back in. I won’t ever do that again! 🙂
Last night I did the Mix It Up- Arms & Core Workout to kick off September! I hope that you guys tried it out, it definitely left me sore today.
Darin and I did a 1.25 mile warm up run before we worked out and I was drenched from that!
This shirt was “light” grey when I started off on my run. It quickly turned into a dark grey as my workout progressed. It is so hot in Florida, I don’t think Fall is an option down here. But I did manage to peruse the aisles of Target and swoon over the Fall colors.
I wanted so badly to buy cute house decor but I know that for now it’s not the best choice. Until we found out where we will be long term with my husband’s job, we just rely on Corporate Housing decor and appliances.
Speaking of our appliances, Darin and I really wanted to make Grilled Peaches on Sunday for our “Labor Day” meal. We work on Labor Day so it’s not really a holiday for us 🙂 But sadly we don’t have a grill. However, we do have a George Foreman! The Foreman helps us get by when we want to act like we are “grilling out”. If you are looking for a simple “grill from home” recipe I have one for you.
Grilled Peaches & BBQ Turkey Burgers
- – (1) Peach
- – (1) lb. of Ground Turkey
- – (1/4) cup of Favorite BBQ Sauce- I prefer sweet brown sugar but that’s just me 😉
- – Salt & Pepper
Skin your peach and then remove the pit by cutting a square around the top all the way through the peach. Remove the pit and then slice the peach up into beautiful slices like below.
Peaches are so beautiful and sweet. You can “accidently” break one of the slices at this point so that you have to eat it raw.
Add 1lb. of ground turkey to a bowl and mix in the 1/4 cup of BBQ Sauce, plus about a 1/2 tsp of salt & pepper to season. Mold them into patty’s and place in a non-stick pan with some olive oil to keep them from burning.
In the meantime, throw your peaches on the grill or in my case the George Foreman grill, and let them grill for about 1-2 minutes. They can burn easily so watch them, you don’t need them cooked, just warmed. Look at that awesome grill! Haha, got to love the travel life.
Once your BBQ Turkey Burgers are cooked all the way through, not pink inside, serve them with your grilled Pineapple slices on top! I like mine on a bed of lettuce but you can serve it with a bun as well and it would be tasty!
These burgers were very flavorful. The BBQ & Pineapple flavor mix so together so well!
