Good afternoon! This morning started off at the car shop getting the bottom piece of my car put back on, (it fell off on the interstate). If you know me, you know that I have the worst lemon of a car and have been waiting to drive it off a cliff trade it in for a new car. Darin and I have been looking for new cars and I can’t wait until we finally purchase one! Probably later this week or next so I will share with you when we do 🙂 I have a VW Passat and I will never again by a German engine. It costs 5,000 to get an oil change. Ok, not that much but it’s expensive.

I stopped by Starbucks on my way with my empty bag of coffee to get a free cup! Always save your empty Starbucks bags!

I thought that I deserved Starbucks because I had to go sit in a non air conditioned room in a smelly automotive shop. I brought Women’s Health with me to keep me entertained.

Today is the fun link up from Jenn at Peas and Crayons– What I Ate Wednesday. Or in my case, what I ate yesterday.

  • Breakfast: Greek Yogurt + Muesli, Blueberries & Cinnamon
  • Snack: Starbucks Misto + Coconut Syrup
  • Lunch: Spinach Salad with Boiled Eggs, Green Peppers, Chickpeas & Walnuts
  • Snack: Walnuts & Granny Smith Apple
  • Dinner: Chicken Satay Stir Fry with Veggies + Quinoa

This month’s theme is Summer Staples and last week I highlighted some of my favorite summer things. This week I want to highlight my workout Summer Staples.

Fitness is part of my everyday life and therefore I like to have comfortable clothing and accessories to wear everyday! 3 of my staples are Shoes, Sportsbras & Shirts.

I just received these babies in the mail yesterday. I used to do my distance runs, strength training and cardio workouts in one pair of shoes. I am learning however that I need to have one pair of shoes for my runs and one pair for my cross training.

For Cross Training I purchased the Nike Training Flex TR2’s.

For Running I love running in the Mizuno Nirvana series and I needed new ones because my old pair were giving me pain. These shoes got me through my half marathon training and were awesome.

Also Famous Footwear had Buy 1 Get 1 for 1/2 off online so I scored both of these with shipping and tax for $115.00! I originally bought the Mizuno’s last year for $130.00 in store. Oh and I had a 20% off promo code. Before you shop online, always type the stores name and promo code into a search engine. You can find great online coupon codes! Retail Me Not is my favorite.

I also love to buy fun sports bras. Here are two I found two months ago at Forever 21 and I wear them all the time.

I’d also love these from Lululemon if I had a wallet that big.

Last but not least, I am loving my new viewSPORT sweat revealing shirt. You can read about it in this post.

I want this one next…
