Good morning! I will have my Friday Link Love coming later but for now I wanted to share a challenging workout for you today! Get your Friday Fitness in before the weekend begins!

Speaking of the weekend, Darin and I are heading to Naples on Saturday to stay at the Waldorf Astoria Resort. We got engaged at the beach in Naples one year ago this weekend and we wanted to go back and celebrate!


This was us right after we got engaged. It seems like so long ago! Time flies when you are having fun with the one you love 🙂


Cross Lunges-  Stand holding weights by your side. Lunge back with your right leg crossing it behind your left hip. Return to start and repeat with opposite leg. Do 12 lunges on each leg.


Sumo Squat and Side Leg Lift- Stand with legs wider than hips and point your toes outward, squat down holding weights and as you come back up, lift your right leg to the side. Return to squat and repeat on opposite leg for 15 squats total.


Donkey Kick Jumps- Position your hands under your shoulders and lift hips in the air. Kick both legs up behind you to the right and back down do 15 reps total switching between kicking left and right in the air.


Squat Pulse- Stand with feet hip width apart. Squat down holding one weight between both hands and do mini pulses at the bottom of the squat to 25x.


Fire Hydrant with Side Kick- Get onto all fours and lift your right leg up into a “fire hydrant” position and then kick your leg out horizontal to your body. Repeat 15x on each leg.


Sumo Squat Jumps– Stand with legs wider than hips and point your toes outward, squat down holding one weight between both hands. Jump and back down into squat. Repeat 15x


One Leg Squat with Side Toe Points- Squat down on left leg and take your right leg out to the 12 o’clock, 3 o’clock and 6 o’clock position. That’s one rep. Repeat 12x and then go to 12 o’clock, 9 o’clock and 6 o’clock on left leg 12x.


Repeat the sequence 2 more times. I was definitely feeling the burn in my booty! The workout from Monday left me sore until yesterday. This workout will probably leave me sore again! Remember to stretch for 10-15 minutes after.

What’s your favorite butt workout? Not that most people love them, but maybe one you see results from? I like lunges because they work my legs and butt at the same time.
