One of the greatest things about life is the people you share it with. I have discovered the true meaning of friendship over the years and today I get to see two lovely ladies who I dub the “mackie twins” and I have put in a request to be a “mackie”, (their last name). Their dad lives about 1.5 hours away from here in Hobe Sound and they are down visiting him from Atlanta because they are all heading to Nicaragua for 3 weeks to surf. Yeah, they are hardcore.

They aren’t in fact twins but two amazing individuals who have so much love and strength to share with others. Alex blogs over at The Wonder List and Erica is an amazing photographer on her way to being in the next National Geographic article spotlight. These girls are true finds. Pictures to come tomorrow from our visit today!


Lately I am loving homemade Yogurt Parfaits for breakfast. Here is what you need:

– Your favorite yogurt (I chose FAGE Greek Yogurt)

– Oats or Granola (I chose Bob’s Red Mill Muesli)

– Berries of your choice (I chose Blackberries and Blueberries)

Layer the yogurt on the bottom, granola in the middle and berries on top!

Grab a spoon and dig in!


Today is a run challenge. I will be running this evening with the two girls pictured above and I challenge you to go for a run. My favorite types of runs are to run to a certain point and then run back. You can usually challenge yourself to 2-3 miles there and then you ultimately have to run back! Get out there and see the sights. If Tropical Storm Debbie is lurking over you, hit the indoor running track or treadmill and hit a steady state run mixing in some intervals if you need to mix it up.
