Good morning! Here is Mountain House Re-Cap Post Dos.

Saturday was our “Father’s Day” because we came home on Sunday so we celebrated lake style and rented a pontoon boat for the afternoon.

My nephew and niece chartered us. Thankfully we made it back in one piece. The lake was beautiful and the weather was absolutely perfect.

We explored the lake for a while and found a waterfall.

Normally I’m an exploring type, but ever since we went to Dunn’s River Falls in Jamaica on our honeymoon, I’ve been scarred by waterfalls. Also, if you want to see the ridiculousness of the falls you should watch this video. Anyways, some of the family decided to get out and explore. Of course this started with my dad. This is why I love him. Then my sister, niece and nephew.

I loved watching my dad help my niece into the water. It reminded me of how we used to swim together in the ocean. He would always take me out into the waves and teach me how to body surf. Love those memories with my dad 🙂

We love each other. And almost every one of our photos together is one of us holding out our phone in front of our faces and trying to take a decent snapshot. Some are better than others…

We all peeled ourselves off of the boat and journeyed back to the house to start up this Father’s Day feast.

The chef master himself. My dad is a great cook, just another reason why I love him.

The eats: Grilled Steak, Shrimp, Squash and Zucchini.

My sister and her dog, Hope, waited patiently for the food.

We pretty much had to hold Hope back. She was licking the wheels of the grill trying to get scraps of whatever she could find. As you can tell she’s emaciated.

My mom and dad. Their 25 year anniversary is this week! So happy for them and thankful to have them in my life.

Family time is the best and being able to celebrate Father’s Day was such a treat. I wish my husband could have been there but work life is too crazy right now. I am so thankful that I grew up with a dad that loved me and raised me in a Godly home.
