Good morning! I hope that you are having a wonderful Monday morning and had an even more fantastic weekend. I was able to spend time with my family celebrating my dad’s birthday and father’s day. I took so many pictures over the weekend so today’s posts will be two-fold.

On Friday morning my mom, sister, niece, nephew and I headed up to the North Carolina Mountains. My dad and brother-in-law came up later in the evening. Our first stop along the way was Talking Rock, Georgia.

We love coming to this antique store and in fact this was where I found some of the decor for my wedding.

She has really great finds here and I can’t wait to have a home one day to decorate with antiques like these.

I can’t believe how grown up my niece and nephew are! Insane how they grow up so fast. And by that statement I sound like a grandma.

It’s always fun spending time with my sister, I miss being near her!

We then continued our trek to our mountain home, passing through the beautiful mountains of North Georgia.

Doesn’t this picture remind you of Sound of Music? This is also the view from someone’s front yard behind me in the picture. So jealous.

Our mountain home isn’t some huge cabin on the lake but a cozy cabin in the woods that our family loves to visit. My parents have uniquely decorated it with all sorts of antique finds.

This is my favorite spot at the house, the back screened in porch. With enough chairs to seat an army, there is always room for the whole family to perch in the morning for coffee.

Once we arrived, we didn’t waste any time unpacking the cars so that we could hit up the newly blossomed blackberry bushes outside.

I love blackberries and having them growing wildly in our backyard is wonderful.

My niece is so cute, I love her big brown eyes.

My sister, Leah, and my mom, Carol.

My mom is the greatest and I love spending time with her.

More to come on our mountain house weekend getaway!

What is your favorite past time with your family?

I love adventures outside with them and I will be sharing more of those later!
