Hello! Happy Tuesday. Today has been crazy at work and we found out this morning that we are moving apartments tomorrow at 8am. I sure do love packing! Quick post because I need to start getting things together.
Even though today has been hectic I was able to get this workout in, focusing on arms and abs. This workout will focus on your shoulders and triceps and the lower abs (the place right below your belly button that you want toned!) I’m going to the beach this weekend so I want to work on my abs!

Darin and I then went to a park in the area and went for a 2 mile run.
Even in the evening it was still very hot and humid, it makes my breathing so much harder and my legs feel super heavy. Although, they feel heavy as it is from that workoutyesterday, my hamstrings and inner thighs are so sore. But the run was pretty and had a little pond to look at.
Don’t forget to post a comment on the post from yesterday for the Jillian Michaels Giveaway. You have until Thursday night to post a comment to win. Good luck!
To continue on with the June- Salad a Day Challenge, I made my version of a Cobb Salad- no bacon for us!
I started by chopping up these ingredients:
(2) Grilled Chicken Breasts
(1/4) c of Almond Cheese- grated
The lettuce I used as the base was Organic Girl’s 50/50 Mix and GreenWise Romaine Hearts. I love both of these lettuces, especially the Organic Girl Family Size, it has so much packed into one container and it tastes crisp.
Mix it all together and voila! Avocado Cobb Salad. It was delicious.
As I said yesterday, Darin and I explored parts of Miami over the weekend. On Sunday morning we headed about 20 miles south of us to Key Biscayne, it was recommended to us as one of the nicer beaches in the area.
We stopped off along the way to pick up some lunch and drinks for the beach at the Oasis Cafe- a cute little hole in the wall restaurant.
I was able to snag some Zico Pineapple Coconut Water for the beach. My new love.
We headed out to the beach at Key Biscayne and while the water was clear and the sand was beautiful, there were waaaay to many people. We walked at least a 1/2 mile down from where we started to find a space big enough to not be sharing an umbrella with other families. Kind of a bummer but at least we were near the ocean!
This was the view of downtown Miami as we made our way farther away from the crowds. A lot more peaceful here.
So far our favorite beach in the area is Ft. Lauderdale because there is a lot of room to spread out and enjoy yourselves but we want to visit other beaches as well.
Do you have any beach recommendations for south Florida? We want to make a weekend trip to the Keys but haven’t yet.

I need to hear this today! I’ve had the worst attitude about the changes in my life and need to change my thinking.
