It’s workout Wednesday, and today I focused on arms. For those of you ladies out there who always want to work on your butt or abs (like me), I encourage you to remember your top half. Our arms help us carry our massive purses and groceries in from the car. They also are eye candy for the summer, ooh la la. My friend Erica has muscular arms that I love…

Probably from all the rock climbing she does. She’s bad-ass.

Here is the Summer Arms Workout I came up with today. I did a 10 minute warmup on the treadmill followed by this workout using 10lb weights and a medicine ball. You can use whatever weights work for you and normal push-ups if you don’t have a medicine ball. While I did this at the gym, you can definitely do it at home! It took around 20 minutes.

New Recipe for you! Healthy Spaghetti. And no I don’t mean because I used Whole Wheat Pasta. This is a low-carb, protein filled, delicious recipe that you will love.

Healthy Spaghetti

Serves (4)

(1) jar of Organic Spaghetti Sauce

(2) 14.5oz cans of diced tomatoes

(1) Spaghetti Squash

(1) cup of Baby Spinach

(1) 8oz can of mushrooms

(1/2) yellow onion

(1) clove of garlic

(1) tsp of Oregano

(1) 16oz package of Ground Turkey

(2) small tomatoes- chopped

–add seasoning of you choice, I used garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper


Preheat oven to 350. Cut Spaghetti Squash in half. Scoop out the seeds.    


Place on baking pan face down and into the oven for 35-45min. Take them out and flip them over. You will know they are done if you can stick a knife easily into the fleshy part of the squash. Let stand while you work on the sauce.


Chop onion, garlic, and mushrooms and saute in olive oil. Add spinach and let it wilt into mixture. In a separate pan, saute ground turkey, adding seasonings of choice and cook until brown. In a pot, add the jar of tomato sauce, both cans of tomatoes, and chopped tomatoes and simmer on low.

When turkey is browned and onion mixture is softening, add it all to the tomato sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.


Take the Spaghetti Squash and hold one half upright in a bowl while scraping the inside out with a fork. Scrape out the “spaghetti” until it is all in the bowl.

Now serve the heated spaghetti sauce over the freshly cooked spaghetti!

I’m serious, it’s delicious! You have to try it!
